As Green Belt assesses the damage across the country from Storm Eowyn, the impact is significant. Whole plantations have been knocked, large areas of thinned plantations, and, as in the image above, significant trees.

It is incredibly upsetting for the forest owner to be told their forest or woodland has been affected so badly. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Timber can be harvested off the site. While some of the material might be a lower grade than if it hadn't been damaged in the storm, there will still be a good value for your timber.
